One is Ethics and Professional Conduct #4427 and the other is Ethical Excellence Includes Equality for All  #121434. Both are 4 hours of  TREC credit toward renewing your real estate license which exceeds the NAR training requirement of  2 1/2 hours. NAR ethics training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another methods, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.  In fact, logging in to the NAR portal using your NERDS number youi will find a free course offered by the NAR but it will not offere credit to renew you TREC license.

Do not confuse the required REALTOR® Code of Ethics education with the six hour (6) TREC 2023-2024 Core Course required by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission to renew your license. They are not the same

 REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.

New licensees that join the National Association of REALTORS® generally meet this requirement during their REALTOR® orientation.

A new three-year cycle began January 1, 2022. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2024 The Career Institute offers two courses which meets the requirements of  the NAR and provides four (4) hours of continuing education to renew your license.
